New Media Trends

• Blogs - The most obvious new media trend today is the explosion of blogs. Everybody has heard of a blog. Blogs can be used by anyone to write about anything and publish it for public consumption with the simple click of a mouse.

• CSS - Web design in general is leaning more onto CSS as a component of website design which makes changing styles a breeze and keeps maintenance budgets down. • Flash - Since 2000 Flash has really picked up speed and earned it's place on the web.

• Forums - Also popular is the use of online discussion forums. Integration of a discussion forum into your website gives you the ability to interact with the public about issues relating to your website.

• Analytics and Reporting - Statistics and Analytics packages for tracking website activity are continually improving. They work fantastic by allowing webmasters and website owners to see who is on their website, how they got there and more.
